Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when payments, positions, bonds, and network fees connected to Blizz Markets may or may not be refundable. It forms part of the Terms of Use.

1. Blockchain Transactions Are Final

Transactions submitted to a blockchain network are irreversible once confirmed. Blizz Markets cannot reverse, cancel, or modify a confirmed transaction, including a trade, order settlement, collateral deposit, market creation transaction, or redemption.

2. Network Fees

Network fees are paid to blockchain validators, not to Blizz Markets. Network fees are non-refundable, even if a transaction fails, is delayed, or produces an unexpected result.

3. Trading Positions

Prediction market positions are not cancellable after execution. If you buy or sell a position, your economic result depends on later market prices, available liquidity, and the final market outcome. Losing positions have no redemption value after resolution.

4. Creation Bonds

A market creator's Creation Bond is intended to discourage spam and abandoned markets. The bond is returned when the market resolves in the ordinary course. It may be forfeited if the market is delisted for inactivity, abuse, manipulation, self-dealing, or other circumstances described in the Terms of Use.

5. Emergency Refund Path

If a market cannot resolve normally, an emergency refund path may allow users to reclaim available collateral on a pro-rata basis under the applicable smart contract mechanics. Emergency refunds are not guaranteed to return the full amount originally paid, and availability depends on the state of the relevant market contract.

6. Consumer Rights

Digital services on Blizz Markets are supplied immediately when you initiate a transaction. To the extent applicable law allows, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that cancellation rights may be lost once performance begins. Mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived continue to apply.
